Nieu Karoo Country - Nieu-Bethesda

Friendly staff and owner and an absolutely delicious meal. They make their own pasta and it is really good, the pasta Alfredo was amazing. My husband had the fillet steak, also excellent. We sat outside, had a couple of glasses of wine, was a very pleasant experience.

Let's put the 5 stars into perspective. This is for Nieu Bethesda. For a dusty small town the pizzas were exceptionally good and the beer was cold. Service was prompt and efficient though lacked enthusiasm. I would definitely go back and eat there again.

Really lovely restaurant in Nieu Bethesda, food was great (surprisingly good, we had low expectations it being such a small town). André the owner is always around, very friendly and makes you feel very welcome. Ate here several time during our stay, food was good each time. Nice menu with lots of options. Definitely recommended!

This revamped restaurant in the heart of the Karoo offers great value for money and top service to both visitors and locals. New owner, Xanthya, has injected a new vigour into this landmark. The menu is structured, It is not complicated but is great value for money. The best element of this gem is their pizza’s. Beware, as Friday evenings are dominated by locals who all come in from far and wide for Pizza Night. Normally a great vibe and always loads of interesting chat. Child-friendly and has an equally fantastic breakfast menu. Be certain to book in high summer.
