I moved into this area 18 months ago and I have found Hoffman's Road Fish and Chippery to be excellent. The service is friendly with a smile, although there may be a wait, especially on Friday nights, it is definitely worth it. I usually get my fish grilled and it is always fresh, moist, and not greasy. The portion of chips is generous for one person, and they are wonderfully crispy. Recently, I also tried their potato cakes which were amazing. They were not soggy like in other shops, but instead crunchy, crispy, and not greasy. The family who runs the restaurant are lovely and welcoming, even when they are busy. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

The best local fish n chip shop in Victoria. Classic fish and chips. A beautiful family run shop and it's great that they remember you for the next time. <br/ <br/ Burgers are always on point too, consistency is great, not too pricey and the food is never oil tasting

The potato pancakes at this restaurant are amazing! After reconsidering my previous review, I feel I was too harsh. I had them again tonight and everything was delicious!

I always receive a generous portion of chips at this restaurant, more than I can eat. The fish is typically well-cooked, but it's strange that they don't include a lemon wedge as a standard accompaniment.
