La Sousta - Nice

We ate here yesterday in nizza. they had taken care of us several mornings when we had drunk coffee waiting our time for our airbnb, so we knew we wanted to come back. what a tasty bite. they love this place the food is awesome, the people are so beautiful. if they are in this area, they should treat themselves.

Booked for a group of friends meeting in nizza. the restaurant was located in a residential area of the main tourist areas. eating was excellent a good choice of options for different flavors. the beefskewers were great and the local wein var. went well. the staff was very friendly and helpful and while the English and our French were both somewhat limited to the menu options, the service was excellent and overall proved to be a very pleasant night.

There are only a few items on the menu which means that everything is fresh. I strongly recommend the beef tartare if you are a fan. Also sometimes they do a honey mustard chicken which is awesome as well. Risotto is superb. Prices are simply...the best. It is truly authentic French cuisine.

We just spent 2 months in Nice and discovered this gem of a restaurant quite by chance as we were walking down a street close to our rental apartment. We checked Trip Advisor and decided to try it one evening based on all the positive reviews, we were absolutely delighted and returned two more times including for our last evening meal before we left for home. It's on a quiet side street but close to the tram line. It's definitely a place that the locals enjoy.. the food is cooked with care using fresh ingredients and reasonably priced. I had the magret canard each time, but with different sauces, and my wife enjoyed the risotto. The tiaramisu was amazing. We do not speak french unfortunately but were made to feel welcome each visit, and we definitely will return to La Sousta when we come back to Nice next winter.
