Max Brenner Chocolate Bar - Newtown

One of my great pleasures in life is a chocolate mocha latte at Max's, it is just so damn good. The Belgium waffles with vanilla ice cream are also a staple. This place is chilled out and a heap of fun. So many chocolate options, but I usually stick to what I know works, but that praline cigar looked ****** good I might try that next time.

Friendly and prompt service but the only downside is that the barista doesn't seem to be professional enough, my classic chocolate came bubbly and barely even hot... i make better hot drinks for sure

Disappointed. Hadn't been to a Max Brenner's for a couple of years, and with a visitor from overseas thought it would be a treat. Obviously a poorly run franchise. Dirty tables, sold tires looking cakes, and whilst the service was ok the chocolate shakes (one w toffee, one w banana) were tasteless powdery and not yummy. Will not be back

Aaaaaahhh max brenner! The place when you're dying for a chocolate fix! Unfortunately this time I only had time for coffee! It is enormous; spacious; warm and comforting; just like the mocha I had in a huge mug cup! Absolutely loved it; strong chocolate taste and coffee; what better. The service is order at counter but it was quick and received my coffee in no time; good place to sit and wind down after a long week. aroundtheclockfoodie.com

Very handy location in the middle of Newtown, perfect stop for a sweet treat after dinner. There's a few tables, but not enough when things get busy on the weekend. The drinks are consistent with the other outlets. Service was pretty quick. A solid offer when you need a chocolate fix.
