Bidra med feedbackWe would definitely recommend Istanbul on King, especially for those looking for a quick bite to eat. For a healthier option, try the variety of dips and salads or the tabbouleh. However, recent experiences have shown a decline in service, with frequent mistakes in orders. It's important for customers to check their orders before leaving the store to avoid any issues.
The best pide I have ever tasted. I recently had delivery from this restaurant and ordered the Karsik pide, a serving of chips, and a grill platter. The pide was amazing, cooked perfectly. However, the grill platter was disappointing. They used processed chicken that you could buy frozen from any market, and the lamb was tough and difficult to eat. The kofte and rice were good though.
I read about this place on an article listing 100 things you must try in Sydney. Their Lamb Kebab paired with Portuguese Burger Sauce made that list. So here I go again on my lunchtime adventures to explore.<br/ <br/ I thought after the multiple popups of yeeros I no longer will find myself at a kebab joint. As you're approaching it, it looks no different to the next dingy kebab store. When you enter you're greeted with the dull sounds of Middle Eastern dance music and the decore is an unloved Turkish theme.<br/ <br/ I placed my order. The man taking my order was nice enough. They even have Paypass for quick cashless payment.<br/ <br/ I sat on the nearby stools that stared back out onto King Street. It was nice to dine and watch the world of hipsters pass by. There's no line out the door but they get a fair few works buying their lunch to go.<br/ <br/ The lamb kebab with Portuguese Burger Sauce isn't on their menu but they were instantly aware of what I wanted when I asked for it... I was surprised at how decent this tasted. Not cheap or nasty like most. The sauce had a decent kick leaving my mouth tingling 5-10 minutes after I left the place. I should have ordered a baklava and Turkish tea... it would have really tied this whole meal together.<br/ <br/ They even have their own personalised wet wipes...<br/ <br/ I didn't try the rest of their menu but if the lamb kebab was anything to go by, I'd be pleasantly surprised...
Best kebabs in Newtown!. Came here for lunch and had the mixed kebab snack pack with chips and garlic sauce. The food was cooked well and tasted delicious. The place offered a good vibe with great music playing on the TV screen. Prices are reasonable and the place is well maintained.
These chilli chicken burgers are the best I've ever had!
