Just been to this fabulous little local pub for dinner tonight. Such a lovely welcome when we arrived. Although we are just visiting on holiday and after reading a very negative review about “ unfriendliness “ this could not have been further from the truth. Things just got better, after relaxing with a pint and a bowl of water brought straight over for a dog, out food arrived. Fantastic traditional home-cooked chicken and ham pie, it was absolutely delicious and a fabulous hearty portion. Please call in if you’re on holiday in and passing by, country pubs like this are sadly few, and far between these days.

Lovely old proper pub, no fancy plastic bits! Full of interesting moments, much of which are naval. Owners friendly and welcoming, good beer. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
