Bidra med feedbackWhere the Marriott used to have a dining room, diners are now crowded into a very noisy bar area. The menu, already very limited, had items on it, which were not available. Our server, though very pleasant and accommodating, must have been assigned more tables than he could handle because he was rarely seen and available. Sorry to see such a decline in a place where we used to enjoy dining.
1st time at this restaurant the service was excellent. The attendant was attentive and kind.Clam chowder was thick and yummy $10) I ordered the keto plate $40) the bread with butter was complimentary. The tips from keto board were tender juicy and divine the rainbow cauliflower and broccolini were cooked perfectly and so was the shrimp but the chicken breast was not to my liking the texture was off tasted like precooked Perdue chicken that was grilled and cut into strips too rubbery to me and chimmi churri sauce although I mixed it was just oily no flavor other that that everything was great.
The food was good but seemed a little overpriced. The Aperol spritzes seemed really tiny. Children's menu items were a little pricey at $15. The view was nice and it was convenient if you're staying at the hotel. Our server was friendly as well.
Went on a Sunday and had called to see if they offered brunch and was told yes. When arriving asked again and was seated for brunch. Server arrived and asked if we would like coffee, juice. We were told there was a buffet that we went to look at. It was a typical hotel buffet with cereal, breads, fruit, omelet station, bacon, potato's but no pancakes, waffles, French toast. When we got back to table there was a carafe of coffee. Server did not return. I did not want buffet and was waiting for his return. Finally I went up to host to ask if there was a menu or other offerings. I was told yes there was a lunch menu. I was never brought a menu, we were never told price of buffet and ultimately I went and got some fruit and a muffin and was charged almost 30$. I will not return and I wish I had not eaten at all.
While the Riverbend Bar Grill boasts a picturesque view of the river that adds a special touch to dining experiences, my recent visit left much to be desired, particularly in terms of accommodating diverse dietary needs. The buffet, though extensive, falls short for those of us who are vegan or have specific dietary restrictions such as wheat, dairy, and nut allergies. The lack of ingredient listings on their assorted pastries further complicates matters for guests with sensitivities or preferences.Although I appreciate the variety offered, the overall menu felt limited. My order of eggs Benedict didn’t meet expectations as the yolk was medium soft instead of the runny consistency I anticipated. On a positive note, the omelet station was a highlight, demonstrating the potential for excellence this establishment has. However, I was disappointed to see that they’ve discontinued other specialty stations like the crepe/waffle station, which used to add an exciting variety to their brunch offerings.Riverbend Bar Grill seems like a potentially good spot for brunch and families with children, thanks to its ambiance and kid-friendly options. However, I hope to see improvement in their consideration for guests with diverse dietary needs and a return of more varied stations to truly elevate the dining experience to match the beautiful riverside setting.
