It’s a bad sign when I can make better food than a restaurant. I had high hopes for this place to be a fun go to diner, but I had inedible pancakes last Sunday. They tasted very weird dull and strangely salty as if the flour was old or the baking soda wasn’t blended in. I didn’t know you could mess up pancakes until then. Very disappointed to pay for a dish that tasted awful. In retrospect, I should have spoken to the manager but I was focused on catching up with my friends. On the flip side, to be fair, my friends seemed to enjoy their waffles and eggs, so maybe the problem is the chef doesn’t know how to make pancakes.
I remember just after covid going here when they had to surcharge egg dishes saying the prices went way up. Now the price of eggs has come down.. two for a i breakfast $50! (Plus tip) Meal is still llll
What to get: The Grilled Blueberry Muffin Cost: $10-15 What to know: Great little “retro” diner. The food isn’t the best, and the coffee isn’t amazing, but it really does have the classic diner feel. I came here for breakfast to watch the Boston marathon and wasn’t disappointed… I would come back for the muffin alone.
Poor service. My wife and I went here with our 11 month old for a Father’s Day brunch. We wanted to have him in his stroller at the end of the table so we could all sit together. The staff immediately told us you need to put the stroller at the front of the restaurant. I was shocked. They asked if we wanted a high chair, I said sure still in shock, but my son can barely sit up on his own. I ended up just folding the stroller up. The server came up to us and was abrasive and seemed to be getting in face to rush us. I am very unappreciative of the service and I wish there was 0 star rating option. I wanted to speak with the manager but on the other hand I didn’t even want to bother because we weren’t going to be eating there anyways.
