Spice India - Newry and Mourne

Told food would be ready for collection at 7 o'clock but not ready til 7.40. Paid for food and left only for another customer to run outside to tell me staff inside were talking about part of my order was missing. When I went back they gave me the missing part of my order but they were not going to tell me. only for the other customer I would have gone home with part order but paid for full order !!

The service was friendly, but unfortunately the food was not enjoyable. I ordered vegetable pakoras and a meat thali. The pakoras were mostly breading with very little vegetables, and the tamarind sauce was diluted. The dishes in the thali, such as the butter chicken and goat curry, were bland and watery. Unfortunately, I was unable to eat any of it. The quality of the meal seemed cheaply prepared. I had high hopes for a good Indian restaurant in Windsor, but this was a disappointment. I will not be returning to eat here again. Additionally, it was uncomfortable to order takeout from a place where raw meat is also being sold to customers.

I ordered delivery from Spice India tonight for the first time and it was my first time getting takeout in a long time. I am picky about food, but this meal was delicious. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I had to heat it up in the oven for 10 minutes, but I enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting. The portion size was generous and I will definitely be ordering from here again.

I have to agree with the previous review, the poppadoms were definitely not fresh. I even saw the chef trying to heat them up in the clay oven, but they came out soggy. The quality of the chicken in the masala was also poor and fatty. I would not recommend this restaurant!

We used to enjoy this restaurant, but the quality has significantly declined in the past few years. The staff now use the microwave to prepare food, the naan bread is overly crispy and dry, and never seems to be fresh. The last time I ate here, I became very ill for several days afterwards. When I called to complain, they offered me another meal, but I declined. I will not be returning.
