The Lawn at Castle Hill Inn - Newport

The service was very moderate. the room was very cold and when I asked the waitress if she could adjust the heat she said it was cold becuase of the old windows. there was a mini split for A/C and heat blows cold air to us and she wouldn't adapt it. our food came cold. when they spend $40 for a lobster roll, they expect that the roasted bungalow is warm and it wasn't and the riders were also cold. we had a bottle of presecco that kept the waitress on a table in the middle of the room. Although she went from us several times, we had to get up and fill our glasses. there were only 3-4 tables with people at them so it was not busy for this type of service.

The food was perfect and we enjoyed it. for the price, however, there were absolutely no acceptabilities - no roll or other tasty greetings. our server was in order, but overall the service was not just the expectations. for example, a dirty lazy was on the table when server came out with our eating, they had no idea where it was to be brought in, while my dining room partner handed over the dirty dish to an extra person who is just there. it was dried eating on several plates, cremers, etc. the attention to detail seemed to be missing for a raised environment. I doubt we're back.

Our server juliette was fabulous! she was attentive and knowledgeable about the menus. we loved our three courses and will of course be back soon!

Special date for my husband and me. Enjoyed an exceptionally warm November afternoon with gorgeous views and delicious food. Always a treat!

Julia was a fantastic server. The restaurant's location and food were both excellent! We will definitely return!
