Popped in for Sunday lunch, excellent and reasonable price. Fast service and friendly staff. No complaints what so ever.

Called in as we were going to CAB the food was good quality, the service was good, and it was good value, dont be put off by the look of the pub.

If your looking for pub grub this is it at its best Outside looked dark and gloomy a bit off putting but so glad we went in My husband had ham egg and chips he couldn 't finish it 2 eggs 2 thick slices of ham and a plie of chips I opted for a jacket potato with chicken and sweetcorn which came with salad garnish One pint and a soft drink came to £11.50 fantastic value Spotted someone having the roast nearby and it lookd really good depending on what meat you go for between £7 and £8 We 'll certainly return its a good alternative to he ' chains ' that seem to dominate the area

Popped in on a Friday evening with my wife for a pint, we were served quickly and found a nice couch to sit at. This is clearly a local 's pub with several characters there who know each other and who are regulars. But all seemed quite friendly, no looks as if to say why are you here? and a few even smiled or said hello. Bar staff lovely, great selection of drinks. There was DJ setting up but the music hadn 't started by the time we left.
