Bidra med feedbackVisited Potters today for an after Xmas lunch. Had wonderful meals, freshly cooked and excellent value for money. A lovely friendly atmosphere and great service from staff. Highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
We booked a table several months ago yet when we arrive the table hadn’t been set we waited for it to be set but they only set 4 places so had to wait for another placing the girl was handling all the cutlery by the part you eat from ! They put us in the middle of the crowds the noise was awful but worst was people stood over us whilst we were trying to eat my friend on the end was actually hitting people as she tried to cut her food that’s how close they were as we had to be at the theatre by 6.45 pm I told the girl that we might not have time for dessert as it took so long to get the starter and main she say oh I will wrap it up to go !! Like to see how you wrap custard !! Then to top it off the waitress dropped a jug of gravy all over us even though we was not told it was a set meal after paying a deposit we was told we couldn’t have our deposit back so we was stuck the food was appallingly and all 5 of us left half of it safe to say we will not be going back but not sure they even care as no one seemed to care when we was there
Last night, we had our work Christmas party at The Potter's. The meals were delicious, with perfect starters, mains, and desserts. The service was excellent. Keep up the great work. The homemade food was exceptional. Hats off to the chef.
Great place for meeting friends for birthdays etc staff lovely food delicious and reasonably priced. Drinks are a bit pricey depending on what you like .Friday afternoons have good entertainment too for a range of ages was there recently for a friend's 70th had a great afternoon as always
Lunch was enjoyable, no complaints there. However, dinner at around 6.30pm was a different story. The lack of service on the terrace for drinks and the absence of wheelchair facilities on the ground floor were major issues. Additionally, having to physically ask for the key to the disabled toilets, even without a visible disability, was unacceptable. The behavior of Enzo, the owner's brother, towards a Scottish woman was intimidating. I hope that the staff at Potter's and others have better manners. I was shocked and disgusted by the experience and will not be returning or recommending this restaurant. The actions of Newport council in allowing this to happen are also concerning.
