Villa Risi - Newmarket

Peter thank you for having me host my baby shower yesterday at your restaurant. The food was fantastic as always and you and your team were wonderful. We enjoy everytime we come we look forward to future events! Grazie!

My family comes here all the time. The food is amazing and the service is usually great but we went last week and experienced a horrendous interaction with the Hostess. My mom asked about the price of the wine (because the wine they get every time they come had gone up in price ,which is completely fair, but my mom wanted to make sure she was ordering the right thing). The hostess went on a rant about we can’t negotiate the price and how this is fine dining and if we want cheap wine we can go to a franchise. My mom said we we should she completely understood why the price has gone up but that she just wanted to make sure she was ordering the right thing. The hostess went on and on berating my mom and repeatedly mentioned that this is fine dining in an extremely condescending way. Our main server and everyone else we interacted with was so so kind but that interaction at the start has ruined our favourite restaurant for us. The food is amazing and the other people who work there are the best but this was an upsetting experience.

!PLEASE, DO NOT EAT HERE!Mouse sightings while eating running under tables and along wallsDust everywhere, ventilation grates full of grime and dust, cracks on walls, food splattered on walls as wellChefs screaming at each other in the back roomIt was the worst experience I believe I've ever had at a restaurant establishment :(I heard great things but experienced none of it.

Peter is always a friendly host, food is good. We are able to enjoy a meal without being rushed. A meeting place for friends from both north and south of Newmarket.We will return for sure.

A great place to celebrate a special occasion or for a nice night out! Food is fantastic and staff are very friendly. Live music on the weekends adds a nice touch to the atmosphere.
