The Kilcot Inn - Newent

Went in a party of 6 for Sunday lunch, 4 adults 2 children. The children had the fish and chips, which were OK. However, everyone else had roast dinners and we were all very disappointed in food quality. We had heard good things about the restaurant and were looking forward to this, we won't be going back. Not just any country pub,but, one where there's friendly staff, good ale, superb food, comfy and cosy beds. Would I recommend this place, YES!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a really lovely lunch here last sunday. The roast was very good and well cooked (and im extremely fussy). Big portions, lots of very fresh and not soggy greens, lashings of gravy and good quality meat. The desserts were delicious!!! As an F&B owner myself i know how hard it is to find staff at the moment but the whole team were great. We particularly loved the new owner who we had the pleasure of meeting when he showed us the rooms (they looked lovely too, very clean and nice attention to detail). Thanks all and we will be back !
