The reviewer had a freezing experience at the hotel bar, despite visiting regularly over a 2-week period. The bar was never warm, even during breakfast. One night, the staff had to use an electric heater that barely made a difference. The female staff members were trying to stay warm around it, resembling a 90s handbag on the floor at a rave. The staff were friendly, but the temperature was extremely cold. The reviewer was surprised that the female staff were still wearing skimpy uniforms in such cold conditions. However, they were grateful to have somewhere to hang their coats. The reviewer even overheard a man joking about going outside and not returning, possibly referring to Captain Oates.

The service at this restaurant was extremely poor. We had to inquire about the missing starter, which came much later than the other two. Similarly, out of the four main dishes we ordered, the fifth arrived very late after we asked about it. The staff barely acknowledged the delays and were rude. The burger that eventually came was burnt in some places. Despite having traveled far and staying at the nearby hotel, the restaurant turned out to be a disappointment. We will not be returning. Additionally, the security guard was overly aggressive when asking for ID from my 18-year-old son, and was rude when we explained that his 17-year-old girlfriend was not drinking but did not have ID. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

This restaurant used to be a good spot to watch a game, but now, if you cheer too loudly for a goal, the staff will tell you to be quiet. The atmosphere is overly quiet, with the only difference from a library being that they serve food and drinks. The waitresses are too focused on chatting among themselves instead of attending to customers. I would recommend avoiding this place.

Nothing special, food was ok but my wife’s chicken goujons arrived to the table cold while the accompanying chips were hot. Not sure hot they got it so wrong. Had a ginger beef dish which was decent. Drink prices are high and quality poor. The hotel have their breakfast here and it’s truly awful

Visited at 3 before Sam Fender concert.it was busy but we'd booked a table. The service is incredibly slow only managed to get 2 drinks in just under 2 hours.the food left a bit too be disired we had to return the wings as they were cold and I don't mean nearly warm.the steak sandwich was very chewy. We left disappointed I'll be honest
