Raj Tandoori - Newcastle upon Tyne

I have visited the Raj a few times while I have been working in the Newcastle area. Each time I have enjoyed the food but I have to write about my last visit. I do like Indian cuisine and try places around the country when I can. I had a House Special Curry, made as a madras for me. I have got to say it was one of the most enjoyable curries I have had in a long time. Even the cobra was spot on. When I return with my wife, this will definitely be on my places to visit list

Fantastic meal, trust me, I don’t think you will get a better tasting Indian meal than that. The staff was so helpful, friendly so nice.

Ate here last night with my husband and we had the early bird menu with a couple of extras and the food was really good and all served quickly. It is really good value for 4 courses and decent portions. We will eat here again

What an amazing little place. The staff where very friendly and lovely. They had an offer on Sunday till Friday £14.95 for a four course meal. You get poppadoms pickles, there was a choice of about six starter, twelve main courses, about six rice dishes and then you had the choice of ice cream or coffee. We will definitely be returning here on our next trip to Newcastle even if the offer isn’t on the food is still worth it.

Been up in Newcastle 4 a couple of days, came across the gem of a place. I've had Indian meals all over Britain but this is something else. Made a mistake of having starter main. Couldn't finish it there was that much which was disappointing because the taste was immense. Anyone visiting Newcastle need 2 go here. Would have definitely gave it 10 stars if I could.
