Puccini - Newcastle upon Tyne

Very attentive service, lovely food and great value for money. I had steak and my wife a pizza. Generous sized portions, we will visit again.

Another great visit to Puccini, as always a very warm welcome, excellent service, lovely food and tremendous value for money. This is our regular pizza stop now after a few beers in Newcastle, will be back soon !

Myself and 3 friends came along at around 20:30 on Thursday 28th December. I asked if they were still open, there was a young man sitting at the table as soon as you walk in who told me they were closed and I’d need to come back tomorrow when they open. I thanked him and left, a young lady with dark hair in a high ponytail then came from behind the bar, opened the door and started laughing in our faces and shouting at us, we could here her calling us things that I don’t wish to type on here. As a regular here, I recognised her as a member of staff. She appeared to be drunk and was incredibly rude to us all. If the owners have CCTV at the entrance I would encourage them to look into this. Very shocking behaviour. Never had any issues like this when the previous owner was there. We have made the decision that we will not be returning here due to this shocking incident.

Food is alright, but the service is the worst in Newcastle. No smile no greeting, gave wrong food but no apology, and there’s not too many customers in the restaurant but we waited our desserts around 30 minutes. When we asked to take away our food, they just use foils to cover it, even didn’t give us a proper bag, but the way they help other nation’s customers is totally different(cause they always smile to other customers gave them a proper package to take away food). And charged us more money because the waiter said we paid too late( we ordered the lunch meal(could start from 12-6pm) before 6pm, and we finished after 6pm, we checked with waitress before we ordered but there’s no people told us we need pay more). I think the waiters and waitresses are just racists to Asian people, not recommend.
