Bidra med feedbackStumbled across this place, whilst in Newcastle for a post-xmas break. In a great spot, right in the middle of town. Friendly staff and fresh food. I highly recommend the salad rolls.
So worth the money. Waffles and sundae came a lot bigger than expected so happy we came in! Love love love! Completely recommend!
A friend and I visit this restaurant every morning for breakfast before work. The staff are always friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are very affordable. We used to go to larger chains like Greggs, McDonald's, and Costa, but now we will only be coming here.
The staff would be nicer to be a bit more friendly with the customers, I don't think it would sound to us during our entire visit. The bacon roll was served in a kind of baguette hot dog bun and there was no choice of brown or white. The decoration looks extremely tired and outdated, not elegant enough to be vintage, more like a relic of the 1950s. Dirt marks on the wallpaper just above the wooden edge and both the table and menus are very sticky. They forgot to give a cup of tea to one of our group and when he went to ask, there was no oh, I'm sorry, here you are; instead, the waitress gave him the cup, without saying a word. A little glorified greasy spoon and food, nor service justifies prices. One point in favor was that they had a fairly large selection, however, there were no alternatives to non-dairy milk for the intolerant member to the lactose of our group, so he was forced to eat elsewhere.
I found this place by accident on the way back from downtown to the train station. I'm glad I did. Excellent food, in fact I got veal chili that actually ERA chili. Nice and spicy as it should be.Ice creams are to die, I would recommend it.
