Thirsty Whale - Newburyport

The food at this restaurant is superb! The kitchen is now under new management, and the prices are reasonable. There is something on the menu for everyone. The atmosphere is lively and resembles a fun pub, with a great jukebox. I highly recommend this place!

This is the best dive bar in Newburyport. It is dark and has a lot of character, with very friendly staff. The atmosphere is great.

Caution: this establishment may not be friendly towards out-of-towners. It's best to avoid this bar and try other places where you will feel more welcome.

I've been coming to this bar for years. The bartender makes the best Bloody Mary's on the north shore and the the calamari is always fresh- tasted like the ocean!! I love the new AC unit in the window, sweet!! Best Brew Dogs in town, lots of history, and great people watching!!

It's a bar, no theme or pretension, a bit dive-y, kind gentleman behind the bar, place smells like years of spilled beer and a hint of mop water. I didn't try the food but I bet it's perfect. I'll pop by this bar anytime I'm in town
