Sumo Sushi - Newbury Park

Japanese place in Thousand oaks with some Happy Hour Specials. I have Gyoza and Yum! they were delicious! Crispy outside with filling Veggies still tight with a crunchy. 5 pieces sushi saliva, mackerel, aal, spicy Albacore and sweet shrimp with a spicy tuna and scallop roll. Dynamite food, good cravings, good cold beers a solid meal. Here is the breakdown: Yummy knusprig Gyoza 1 star; good hot sweet 1 star; excellent paragraph 1 star; good size parts 1 star; great service 1 star

This review is for takeout only (covid). Got to thousand oaks around 8, looking for a quick bite for a late dinner. They start happy hour pricing at 8:30, so waited a bit before placing our order on the phone. Customer service was very helpful with helping us find the menu online. Generous portions for a great price during happy hour and tasty! Definitely took care of our sushi cravings

I tried sumo in Newbury for the first time and it was great. The sushi is fantastic and my experience was great! The employees were very polite and attentive. I look forward to going to Sumo in Newbury park again and again. Thank you for a great experience!

Had the lunch special w/ spicy tuna roll, veg roll, and comes with miso and salad. Salads are always 'meh ' at a sushi place, but at least the rolls were fresh and the rice in good shape. Extra star for being so cheap. Good value that lunch special.
