The food was terrible. They have very little for vegetarians, I ordered what sounded like a nice salad and asked if they could leave the chicken. I got a small dish of mostly salad with a few cranberries, sunflower seeds and 4 small pieces... from feta, for that they reduced the price by 25% because “no chicken” brought it to $14.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It should have been a maximum of $7.00, my friends side salad with her pack was bigger and her was $15.00 for both. My friend also didn't enjoy her turkey wrap and landed all the turkeys away. However, the coffee was good and the service was good, could look for a better cook and not overload for a bowl salad!!!!!
Yesterday evening, after a big winter storm left us all feeling too tired to cook dinner, we decided to try out the Stagecoach restaurant in Newboro. We were greeted warmly and the atmosphere was cozy with a touch of elegance. We all started with the Caesar salad, which had a modern twist of grilled Romaine, shaved Parmesan, and a delicious dressing with a hint of lemon. For the main course, I had a perfectly cooked rib with potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, a comforting meal on a cold night. My partner enjoyed the Mulligatawny soup, which was flavorful and rich, while her mother chose the grouper from the fish specials menu and found it to be excellent. We want to thank the manager and our hostess for a wonderful meal and a lovely evening, and we definitely plan to return in the future.
We heard there was a new chef and decided to give the restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, the boiled fish was overcooked and the lobster ravioli was average. The seafood platter was underwhelming. The building is beautiful with plenty of country charm, but it's a shame that the food quality is lacking. Hiring a skilled chef could greatly improve the dining experience.
Went here with friends after visiting Rideau Canal. Wasn’t very busy. There were 5 at the table. We looked at menu and remainder of party chose their food, my husband and I decided on the BLT but were told by waitress that there was no...bacon! As my husband doesn’t eat meat as in steak etc, a BLT was the only item on the menu he could eat. The waitress then said she would go and check if any bacon was left which seemed a bit odd to us, however she came back and took the order including our BLTs. The order eventually arrived, but chips were either over or under cooked. Disappointing for an up market restaurant which wasn’t busy. It was also quite expensive. The restaurant is nicely decorated, very quiet while we were there. No5 sur3 if we would go back there agsin
