Tony's Cafe - Newark

I'm a transplanted New Yorker and this is the best pizza outside of NY. We're moved 35 mins north to PA and will happily drive there for dinner. If I'm shopping in DE, I plan my driving around stopping in. The staff is friendly as well.

I used Tony’s cafe for delivery for a catering order. The food was fantastic! Amazing Alfredo pastas, bruschetta, cannoli. The office raved about all of it and reasonably priced.

I love the place.Small and cozy atmosphere.Their were more take away orders than dine in.We decided to dine in,the service was good and food was great.We ordered salad and pizza.

The restaurant is more of a pick up and go style with as another reviewer said “truly snug seating” if you dine in. The staff were very nice! We had half Chicken Cacciatore Pizza and half Crab pizza, which is unusual but perfect for us. The pizza was Not the best NY style pizza we’ve had. The chicken on the pizza tasted old. The crab was good with Old Bay seasoning on top of course. Not a place I would purposely visit again for the food.

The food was amazing and so was the staff!! I ordered a personal calzone and had to take half of it home it was so much. And my boyfriend got a buffalo chicken pizza and it was huge!!Once they saw how much my girl loved cannolis they gave her some of the filling to go too! 100% recommend the food tastes great and the portions are huge. And staff is incredible.
