River Road Coffee House - Newark

I really enjoy hot coffee drinks and honestly, River Road is the coffee house I recommend to people.The order today was cold chai tea and a cinnamon mocha latte, at the 21st street location. The tea tasted watered down and the latte was overly sweet with no chocolate or coffee flavor. At the Granville location everything has always been spot on, but today we were passing the 21st street store. How can the two stores be so different? Maybe the 21st street people need more training with the Granville people.

Sadly this location has gone down hill, have been there 3 times in the past month and a half, the coffee tasted like cleaner and the employees were rude, service took forever.

Everyone knows River Road as a premier local coffee shop!

I enjoy coming here to relax with conversation and enjoy a drink! Sometimes I come to use wifi (there’s a 3 hour limit which is just right honestly I have a few drinks I like here: a small iced latte with oat milk (good oat milk without added sugar hot earl grey tea latte, and a 6oz traditional cappuccino with whole milk when I want something hot and strong. ? It’s nice to sit and see the cute downtown and courthouse (especially when it has colored lights on it! and all of the baristas are so professional and kind. They also carry a great granola bar that I enjoy without added sugar and with whole ingredients. Yum!

Great coffee but gave no caramel on my drink and the worker was short with me lol but I think the customer in front of me was giving her a hard time lol all
