Metro Diner - Newark

Family-friendly diner, awesome food, wonderful service, great atmosphere. Must have the fried chicken platter or fried chicken with waffles, however the pot roast is a dud unfortunately. Absolutely will come back again though to try the other food since service is top-notch and this is a local business definitely worth supporting!Food: 4/5

Awesome restaurant ? had breakfast today and the short stack were bigger than a dinner plate yummy ? had omelet was delicious and everything came out quickly. Noticed people were smiling and enjoying themselves on a hot humid day. I've had breakfast lunch and dinner here ? it's all good and reasonable. My waitress for today was the most excellent Barbara who was celebrating her birthday ?. She was delighted and made sure everything was good. She is an asset. God bless you all for making my meal experience fantastic.

Super friendly, cheerful, high quality, good value. Nice folks, impeccably clean. Staff is outgoing and friendly but not invasive. I was dining solo and--I don 't know how this happened--SOMEBODY comped my breakfast. I double-checked with the waiter, and he said No, boss, your breakfast is covered. I did my standard response hey, even though I took a photo of the plate, I 'm NOT a food blogger! but wait staff insisted. So I left the check 's value as a tip. Highly recommended.

This is a fabulous Diner; always busy. We have gotten taken out numerous times for Thanksgiving dinner and also Easter dinner. Food is always delicious, and you get more than you pay for. We always have leftovers when we dine-in.
