Bidra med feedbackTHIS PLACE IS BETTER THAN IT LOOKS THIS! It's probably the best restaurant in the Newark downtown area. It got the right flavors, fair prices, nice packaging for takeouts. It's authentic Korean food. The exterior of this place ain't doing it justice. It feels unwelcoming and kinda old, and I genuinely hope this doesn't stand in the way of awesome business. I ordered kalbi with fried rice.. wasn't sure about doing a fried rice with kalbi but it's the best combo I've had in Newark. Give them a try.. you'll definitely like it and become a regular!
Very delicious, best kalbi I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a ton). It’s very fatty and juicy yes comparatively but the flavor is great and the portion size is good as well. The price could be dropped a bit though, but not bad.(like maybe $1 less)
Great food at affordable prices. We ordered ubereats and the packaging was beyond exceptional. Portions were nice!
Walked in the restaurant on a whim. Definitely was blown away. Customer service was awesome and I’ll definitely be going back there.
BulgogiZip is a new Korean barbeque restaurant with a diner kinda setting in downtown Newark area. They have a very simple menu with about just 10 items, served in take out boxes with generous portion size at reasonable pricing. The ambience with the diner kinda setting was great and service was pretty quick. I generally avoid Korean BBQ restaurants as they tend to not include any vegan/vegetarian mains. But these guys serve ONE vegan option Tofu teriyaki which is definitely worth trying. I tried the tofu teriyaki with brown rice which is served with a side of salad. The tofu was pretty flavorful with enough sauce for the rice, some may find it a bit sweet but was definitely tasty. One can also choose the fried rice $1 extra) or white rice with their mains. If you wish to add some dressing for your salad or need some sauce for your main, you can fetch some from the choice of sauces placed on a counter at the side. I definitely loved trying some Korean food but also wished they had few more vegan/vegetarian friendly options. Overall it's definitely worth visiting this place for some good Korean BBQ.
