Bidra med feedbackThe food at this restaurant was not worth the price. The curry was a dense piece of chicken breast on a bed of plain boiled rice, with minimal sauce and vegetables. The naan bread was also dry. Despite the menu promising mango chutney, it was never served. I returned half of the dry chicken and rice, as I expected better quality for £15. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
We were excited to meet up at the pub after many years to catch up with friends and family. There were 7 of us in total. We decided to have Sunday lunch, but were disappointed by the menu. I ordered the chilli prawns for starter, but they were tough as if they had been sitting out for a while. The steak pie with chips and peas was dry with very little meat, the chips were dry, and the peas had no flavor. I had to use gravy from another dish to make it better. My wife had the beef, which was dry and overcooked, and the vegetables were overdone. Overall, we were not impressed with the food. The pub itself was nice, but the overpriced and poorly cooked food was a letdown. We won't be returning and are just glad we didn't have to pay for the meal.
I made a reservation at this restaurant in advance and arrived early, only to find that there were only two other people there. However, we ended up waiting 40 minutes for our food. When the dishes finally arrived, three of the fish meals were completely overcooked and two of the salads seemed like they had been sitting out for a while as the lettuce was wilted and the potatoes were cold. To make matters worse, another couple who arrived 20 minutes after us received their food before we did. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
Lovely pub, nice staff. Dog friendly and good beer, food we have had had been amazing. Can sometimes get confused with Facebook info not matching opening times but that’s my only moan
Had a fab Sunday lunch. We ate as a family of 6. Good portions and friendly staff. Definitely go back again!
