Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant has only been open for a few weeks, but it already has great reviews. We decided to visit this evening and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the staff provided a warm reception with playful banter. It was a truly lovely evening, so thank you to the staff. We will definitely be back soon.
It is very rare to find a pub serving Italian food of this quality, especially in Nottinghamshire. The homemade ciabatta with buffalo mozzarella and fried peppers served as an appetizer was fantastic. The homemade ravioli with nduja and gnocchi were also delicious. The main course of lamb with salsa verde, soft polenta with broccoli and house-dried tomatoes, served with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, was fantastic. The side of crispy courgette was light and tasty. To finish off the meal, the chef sent out a selection of desserts including a superb panna cotta, brownie, tiramisu, and lemon torte. The rustic cuisine at this restaurant is cooked and served with care, focusing on the quality of the ingredients. I highly recommend this culinary experience for its exceptional food and service.
We have never been to the carpenters arms, but were satisfied that our meal would have been wonderful, reviews on the web site checked. we were not disappointed. the appetizers and main courses were all very well received, tasty to the last mouthful. the wein (Montepulciano...Abruzzo) was really smooth, and I know that the lagoons are very good. we will be back, I couldn't recommend it anymore.
Large selection of diners and drinks with fabulous service and great value for money. will definitely return.
We were in the area and the Italian Kitchen came up on Facebook. The guys have just taken over the pub so the decor is still the old pub. However, the food is not it is bang on. Which is what you want. From the...complimentary amuse bouche through to desert the food was excellent. The menu is limited which in our book is a good thing. It means the crew can concentrate on cooking the dishes perfectly. Which they were and its all traditional Italian, no pizza or spag bol. The area needs something like this. If you are staying in the area it's worth a visit. We wish the owners every success.
