Bidra med feedbackBeen eating here before they moved to a new place on bayard street. Food is always good and still good. The new place is abit smaller compared to the old place by the tunnel back then but good food is more important. Service was abit slow because there's partition in between so sometimes we had to wait until some staff peeked over to our table to request something. Other than that, service was great. Recommending their homemade pickled chilies if you love spiciness although their pickled chilies are not that spicy to my taste bud. They take cards with fee otherwise cash preferably.
Food was really great here and service was very quick. We didn't have to wait for a seat here and the food came out very quickly. The noodles were amazing and very similar to Cantonese style beef chow fun. The sauce coated the noodles nicely and there was a decent amount of beef. The roti was crispy and curry was super flavorful. They gave a lot of skewers too with the satay chicken and the peanut sauce was sweet and savory. Will definitely come back when we're hungrier and can try more dishes.
It was so good!!! I ordered the roti canai, chicken satay, hainanese chicken, and the Penang Choy Kway Teow, and all of them were so flavorful and filling? I originally wanted something light, but ended up discovering all these great dishes. The hainanese chicken was the closest to the Singapore version I’ve tasted in America. This is a must try restaurant in New York!!
Loved the food here! Hadn’t had Malaysian food yet in the city so I wanted to try this place. Our server was really friendly and helpful and we loved every dish! I particularly loved the Hainanese chicken I could eat this dish every day. The chicken was perfectly poached and flavorful and the ginger scallion oil is really my favorite part and so addictive. I’ve had this dish in other places of the city not executed well, and this place did it right! The roti canai was a great appetizer the pancake was flakey and buttery and the chicken curry dip was great! I also enjoyed the dish the waiter suggested for us, Penang Choy Kwai Teow it had great wok hei and I love he fun noodles in general. Very reasonable pricing would definitely come again!
Overall an excellent value for money: great food, sizeable portions at an incredible price. Would recommend.With my wife we went on a Saturday at launch time as walk-in and after 5 minutes we were able to get a table. We went as we saw it recommended in the Michelin guide and we wanted to give it a try.Food was really good: we had the Roti Canai (amazing! …best roti I had and the Peanng Coconut crispy shrimp (which was okeyish for appetizers, my wife ordered the Indian Mee Goreng (which was extremely tasteful and I ordered the Nasi Lemakas recommended in the Michelin guide (and it was amazing…reminded me of a Peruvian dish called “Aji de Gallina” . Overall the dishes were full of flavours with great combination of spices. I’m not an expert in Malaysian food but you could tell they were very authentic.A mistake we made was that when looking at the main dishes’ prices we thought the portions would be small, making us order appetizers. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish all the food as portions were huge! (always a good mistake to make Service was fast but not pushy (which is a rare find in Chinatown . Overall the staff was friendly and attentive.Atmosphere was okeyish but given the prices you can’t really expect a fancy restaurant.Highly recommended.
