Turntable Chicken Rock - New York

Cool atmosphere and good service. The soy garlic drums and wings were good but a bit too sweet (also besides the radish there was no other bonchon). I wouldn't call it an authentic Korean fried chicken but it's good enough. Bathrooms were clean.

Atmosphere (5/5): This gastropub had such a cool vibe with retro music themed décor. On the second floor, there looks to be a DJ setup. It's kind of dark inside but at least it wasn't very loud. I was surprised on how empty it was during peak dinner hours! Service (5/5): Since there were very few parties dining, the service was great. We got our drinks quickly and had our food out in a jiffy. Food Overall Salmon Tartare (4/5): It was a nice portion of spicy salmon. It could have used a few more pieces of the large wonton-like chips. The flavor was pretty good. Wings (4/5): We ordered half soy and half spicy. The spicy is pretty spicy! The wings had a nice outer crunch and great flavor! $9 pint beers, pitchers, and $65 towers

The food and drinks come out quickly and the staff is nice. The actual food was just alright, more Instagram friendly than tasty.

The wife and I recently spent a weekend in Chelsea and stopped by this place after googling best chicken wings in NYC and Turntable came up as one of the top rated. I must say, as a lifelong chicken wing connoissuer, Turntable Rock, did indeed, have some of theee BEST chicken wings I 've ever had. They were actually lightly sauced with a subtle soy garlic (compared to alot of other places that tend to go a bit heavy on the sauce), but these wings are cooked so perfectly, that the actual chicken wing is the star, while the sauce/flavoring is just a compliment. Perfect crispy skin, and super juicy tender, plump meat. In short, amazing wings...heck, I want to go back to NYC just for these wings. And major honorable mention for the kimchi spam fried rice, with mozz cheese added to it...I was dubious about this when we ordered, but ohhhh myyy, it was freaking fantastic!! Turntable is awesome...true chicken wing fans need to experience this place! Next time we 'll def try other menu items...along with our chicken wings of course. *and service was very good and friendly, and beer was nice and cold!
