Tropical Sensation - New York

Tropical Sensation Restaurant came on the UWS scene around 15 years ago and has proven itself to be neighborhood stalwart serving up delicious Dominican, Latin/Caribbean Cuisine. I haven't had a bad meal yet, and I regularly visit for Lunch or Dinner. The hospitality is always warm, friendly and welcoming. The portions are also generous. Check them out!

The grilled pork shops in this restaurant are the best kept secret in New York. Maybe not anymore because I just told you.

Good here is pretty good and consistent. We come here often for lunch and I get the fried pork chops or the pernil. I’ve also been told that the tres golpes is also tasty!

My family loves this place. Food and drinks are always good, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. The only downside is how small the place is.

The food is always good here. I had churrasco with mash potatos and don’t forget the chimmichuri sauce on the side. I also love the plaintain chips that they serve as an appetizer when you order and entree. The jugo de chinola was pretty good but had to water it down because it is very sweet. We also ordered a morir soñando which was perfectly delicious. The pricing here is pretty good for how much food you get.
