Sushi Of Gari - New York

Incredible sushi in a pleasant space with great service.

The sushi was mediocre and underwhelming for an omakase experience. The restaurant seemed to try too hard to be "fancy" by adding unnecessary decorations and caviar to some items. The service was good and the atmosphere was quiet, but the sushi was overpriced for the quality.

We had a delicious omakase dinner. The chef and waiter described each of the pieces, one by one. Service was great, the sushi was delicious. Each piece was interesting. I wish for the price that the experience would last longer, but I guess the cost is relatively low for the quality. Decor was serene. Thank you.

We ordered sushi individually and it was fantastic. We were seated in the street-level dining room, which wasn't particularly appealing but didn't take away from the flavorful food.

The quality was fine, but the food was quite bland, despite ordering the Gari special.
