Shabu Shabu Kobe - New York

Came for the all you can eat special and found that it was lacking in variety. Lots of other food options, but only 3 kinds of meat available, all fairly thick cut for shabu shabu, and no choice in vegetables. I also tried the curry tonkatsu and the taste was ok but difficult to cut and served on a plate far too small. I didn't hate it , i just didn't love it.

Terrible service. Waited 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Had to get up and ask 2 waiters to get the bill.

The food itself was not bad but what was unfortunate was that the restaurant obviously lacked attention to details such as the arrangement of tables, music, service, the pot for shabu shabu, the chopsticks, which made the place somewhat cheap.

What's notable is that you cook your selected strips of meat and vegetables in a pot of soup heated on a hot plate in the center of the table and season with sauces provided. Enjoyable but the result was only ok.

The food is okay. However, it took me 15 minutes each to order and get my check. Not to mention the fact that I was the only guest when I entered the restaurant. I had to ask several times to order my lunch or get my check which had been put on the cashier desk for more than 10 minutes.
