Bidra med feedbackMy son and I celebrated my birthday there. My jerk chicken was delicious. I loved the Rum Punch. DJ had me moving in my seat. Overall I enjoyed everything!!!!
I recently dined at Omar's Kitchen and Bar in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, indulging in a delightful Caribbean feast. From Doubles to Salt Fish Fritters and Jerk Wings for starters, the culinary journey was exceptional. The Jerk Chicken, Curry Oxtail, and Sorrel Lamb Chops were flavorful highlights. The Rum Punch, boasting one of the best in NYC, added a perfect touch to the experience. Despite an initial confusion about the Friday closure time of 11pm the kitchen actually closes 12am on the weekends including Fridays, I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Looking forward to returning for more savory delights.
We had the curry shrimp and grits, the catfish and waffles and the catfish sandwich. The food was really good and the bread pudding was delicious!
Food drinks and even the service here were excellent. Vibe is nice. Music was up but wasn't so loud I had to yell or struggle to hear the person next to me talking. Captures the Jamaican essence in a very pleasant elevated way.
My sister and I was in NY and wanted some Caribbean food. We stopped at a few places before going to this restaurant and we could tell we didn’t want the food. Upon arriving at this restaurant we were greeted and seated and the entire vibe was great. The waitress and the gentleman who brought our food to the table had excellent customer service. My sister and I had a conversation with the waitress about her being from Jamaica and her experience with living in NY City. She told us all the nice places to visit when in Jamaica. She was very nice and friendly!! Any time we are in NY we will definitely stop in!!
