Maxwell's Chophouse - New York

I would like to give a higher rating because this restaurant is fantastic. The ambiance and service were both excellent! We enjoyed delicious starters of French onion soup and lobster cocktail. However, our porterhouse steak for two was unfortunately served cold. The flavor was great, but a cold steak at a steakhouse is unacceptable. The staff offered to remake the steak, but we were short on time.

The steak is excellent, portions are large and. a shared/served family style. our waiter farando was incredible!

Nice ambience and menu. Four of us has dinner and chose various steaks (house speciality). Main courses were all luke warm, as were most of the sides. One side was very hot, one side was stone cold. We pointed this out to the waiter (three times), whose only response was ‘i’ll tell chef’. No apology, no action. The food looked really nice, but is serving while it’s still hot too much to ask? Then to do nothing when the customer highlights the problem. I would expect more from an meal, never mind one costing First and last time here.

Beautiful restaurant, great service. had one of the best steaks in manhattan.
