Bidra med feedbackI’ve heard about the Lexington Candy Shop because it is the only restaurant in NY that makes soda the old fashioned way with syrup and seltzer water. With that being said I was excited to come here. The line was out the door but I only had to wait 15 minutes. First the good. The vibe here is old school, they have Coca Cola bottles from all over the world in there display and I got to see my ice cream soda being made. Unfortunately this place is way overpriced an ice cream soda shouldn’t be $12 and the soda was too sweet and flat. The restaurant is dirty and the owner is rude. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.
I found this place online and had to try it! We went on a Sunday morning and feared a long waiting time but there were few people. We were seated and helped by a very friendly waitress. The place is so authentic, after having been to Starbucks, McDo etc. it was a real treat to be thrown back into time, enjoying a real american breakfast, with great service. The pancakes were huge and very nice, we could easily have shared them. A great experience on our last day in NYC. I hope this place never gets sold or changed! Highly recommended.
Old school diner, amazing egg cream and homemade soda. Tuna melt and butter cheeseburger were tasty. Would come back again to try other things on the menu
Delicious sandwiches!!! Highly recommend the Lexington special. Of course we got the coke and we thought it was less carbonated than usual which was interesting. Service was unfortunately not the greatest and we had to wait for our server to notice us for a while. Still a great institution to visit!Food: 5/5
I'm not going to lie I want to go here to try the Coca-Cola made the old-fashioned way and we ended up staying for breakfast. The nostalgia of old school dinner was amazingThe owners must be big Coca cola fans. Lots of vintage cola there. Sandwich was excellent and the coke was great
