La Pulperia 46th Street - New York

Small restaurant which normally doesn’t bother me however, despite having a few waiters the service was horrible. Once we finally had a waiter take our order we put everything in because we had a show at 8. I had a difficult time choosing from 1 of the 3 or 4 wines they offer by glass (they all got horrible reviews on my wine app) went with the most expensive and it was just “okay”. Ordered guacamole with no cheese as an appetizer and I noted that was because I have a dairy allergy. The guac came with cheese. Though, They fixed it no problem. For dinner I ordered the squid ink pasta, one of my favorite things to order out. It was just “okay”. Honestly, it was a bit bland, certainly not the best I’ve ever had. Overall, I was shocked at the amazing reviews this place gets. I just didn’t have that experience at all. There are certainly much better restaurants in the theater district. Will not return.

Perfect location for your pre-show meal and a great restaurant for any other occasion. Seasonal menu and amazing cocktails. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the owner is often mingling and welcoming guests. I highly recommend this and their Upper East Side location!

I went for drag brunch, and it was AMAZING! Such great energy and the food was very tasty!

Our service was slow. We were going to theatre and our server was told this. He kept saying it was coming. People who came in after us were served before. The food, when it finally came out, came out one at a time, each dish clearly being finished in the kitchen! The steaks were mediocre as was another dish. I was extremely disappointed as Pulperia was my recommendation. I had eaten there two times before and had enjoyed the food and service! I doubt if my companions will want to return.

Really delicious. Had the salmon. Also shared a salad and empanadas. My husband and risotto. Everything great plus great service.
