French Roast Uptown - New York

Usually LOVE this dish so decided to add meat and make it a dinner. Dont bother. Five extra-overdone charred shrimp. Tiny, chewy, stringy, tails fused on. I'll keep it as an appetizer.

Celebrated my birthday lunch there with my girlfriends and it was very nice. I loved their shaksuka. will definitely come back again to try other things.

The Belgian waffles were excellent. Friendly service from our waitress. I was a little surprised, especially since we had a reservation, that the hostess wouldn’t sit us at an empty window table, saying that table was specifically reserved. A little on the noisy side. Overall a good experience and good food.

I love everything about French Roast. I’ve never had a bad meal, or any experiences that would make me stop coming here. Sam is an excellent and attentive manager. He is always checking in with his staff and the guests. You can tell that this place functions properly. I come here at least once a month with my family and friends, wouldn’t have it any other way.
