Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Manhattan

We were starved for good kosher deli, the new jersey selection will be slim. requires a comfortable place in front of the billy joel concert, very satisfied with our choice. my skinny beef was not dry at all, pastrami was delicious. the cole Slav and potato salad cannot beat! beautiful that they have changed nothing in the course of the years (filling is a little tired youngs.)

Food could be warmer. However, the waiter was superb. Best I've had in awhile. Definitely a place to go..... Question? I saw a sign advertising Brunch.... It said that Brunch served on Sunday but also on Saturday. How's that possible?

Our server was absolutely wonderful, really outstanding.

Prefer the Long Island locations to this one but we enjoyed it

The food and the waiter's service were very good. The evening started off badly when I was not allowed to be seated until my dining partner arrived. I had made a reservation for two and was on time. My companion alerted me he would be fifteen minutes late. Half of the tables were empty. I could understand if I was the only one present in a party of four and the restaurant had been very busy but that was not the case. If I had been a party of one, I would have been seated at a table for two so what was the point in making me wait? There were still plenty of empty tables after we ate and left. Restaurants should be welcoming and not treat customers as if they are doing us a favor by admitting us. The food was fine and the waiter who served us (not the surly man who wouldn't seat me) was very nice and very good but I would recommend this Ben's only with a warning about my experience.
