Bidra med feedbackIncredibly kind staff, really good food and great price point. We sat at the chef's table and they kindly comped us a few desserts and an appetizer. Strongly recommend the EVOO martini, the gnocchi, and interestingly the mint ice cream! The chicken is also a fan favorite.
In general, the food was well executed. The milanese, chicken, bolognese, and Hannah pizza were simple but delicious (the chicken entrée, weirdly to me, didn't come with any sides). The cavatelli tasted off there was no flavor to the pasta itself or the dish and it wasn't until after dinner that I realized that the pasta was probably undercooked. Service was excellent on the whole, but we felt a bit rushed when they asked us, 3 times, whether we were done before everyone's forks were down. Beautiful location and venue.
I don’t give out a lot of 5s but this place deserves it. I had Torissi later that night to I can truly say that this menu was better. Great service, fun atmosphere. The pollo Al forno is wildly overrated, my mom better baked chicken. BUT they have this gnocchi with some type of creamed corn sauce and that was one of the best dishes that I’ve maybe ever had, Deff the best dish I’ve had this year, without a doubt. The meatball was also phenomenal.
Barbuto has a great atmosphere and service The food was good but not great or memorable. The lobster cavatelli could use more flavor. The pollo al forno and bolognese were the better mains. The meatball appetizer was probably our favorite item on the menu.
This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. The food is perfectly flavorful while remaining simple and unpretentious. The atmosphere is nice but casual at the same time. The staff is friendly. I know people rave about the chicken but I think if you HAD to only get ONE THING it would be the calamari salad. Honestly the best salad in the city.
