T.j.bella's - New ross

Have been here a few times and never disappointed. This time it was a mixed bag. Chips, beans and tea were excellent but the Fresh Cod was a disaster. It looked impressive on the plate but it turned out to be all batter and little actual fish. I did not say anything as the friend I was visiting had the same thing and was not complaining. Only as we sat over a pint did he mention that he was also disappointed with his Fresh Cod. Cost was I think €18.

Great choice of food, cooked fresh. Stopped here several times going to and from ferry and it's fantastic, always good food.

Never have we got a bad meal in here. Great chicken, chips, curry and taco chips. For a chipper it’s as good as you’ll find anywhere

We just had dinner in here and i have to say we were not dissapointed. The all day breakfast is very tasty and great value for money. The burger, hotdog and pulled pork sandwich were all equally tasty amd seriously good value for money. The area is very clean and the staff were very friendly

Arrived in New Ross on Friday for my yearly visit to a friend of mine and headed straight here for something to eat. Ordered fresh cod chips x 2 and a pot of tea. Think it was around €16. The fish was huge and I could not finish the chips there was so much. There was a portion of Tartar Sauce on the side which was a nice touch but it lacked that bit of a crunch which I like in a Tartar Sauce. Extra fillup of tea at no extra cost, what can I say this is the place for traditional Fish Chips. See you again next year.
