Walk-on's - New Orleans

Today for late lunch! great service and great food! recommend the filled burger and the brotpudding with ice! this is the best meal I had during my weekend in new orleans.

Yum! Everything was delicious. I had the Tuscan chicken, also known as the blackened chicken, and my husband had the Black Jack chicken without the buns. It was so tender and juicy, just bursting with flavor! Our server, Marissa, was fantastic as well—she was very attentive even though it was a busy night.

We ordered two appetizers before our main meals, and while we waited, our group chatted about our plans for the evening. We did notice that the appetizers took a bit longer than expected, but we decided not to say anything since the restaurant was so busy. When our food finally arrived, it all came out at once. At that point, our waitress approached us and, without us needing to bring up the delay, apologized for the wait and mentioned that she had prioritized our appetizers. It was refreshing to see such proactive service, as many staff members at other restaurants might not take the initiative to address delays. She truly seemed to care about our experience, and she was fantastic. The manager also came by twice to check on us and engage in friendly conversation, which added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. My partner and I usually visit Walk On's in Metairie twice a month. I always get the ribeye po-boy because it’s incredibly delicious, and my wife loves her patty melt. We have been there at least twenty times in the past few months, and we have never had a bad experience. We always enjoy great food and a wonderful time. Once again, we had a fantastic night this weekend, kickstarted by excellent food and service at Walk On's. Without a doubt, we’ll be returning, and we highly recommend it as a fantastic spot to unwind and enjoy some great food. Thank you once again, Walk On's, and a special thanks to our waitress for her outstanding service at 6 PM. Great job!

I ordered the large alligator appetizer, which was served with a side Caesar salad. For dessert, I had the Krispy Kreme bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. The lemonade iced tea was overly sweet for my taste.
