Bidra med feedbackWe really enjoyed titos ceviche pisco on the magazine street in new orleans. the food was perfect for an evening meal in the early evening with a friend who was in the city. we started with one of the zeviches and a cooking specialist appetizers that had fresh fish and plantains. then we had the meat drink dish for our main meal, which was absolutely delicious. it was a lot of food for 2 people the price was appropriate.
Three of us enjoyed a wonderful Peruvian meal along with pisco-cocktails! The indoor dining area is small but they have a very nice terrace, weather permitting, to sit outdoors. We sat at the bar and started with different pisco-cocktails which were light, fruity and delicious. IMO, the Ceviche Criollo was excellent and the star of the show. We also enjoyed the Pulpo a la Parrilla (grilled octopus), the Lomo Saltada and the Crab cake pasta, which had a nice kick to it. The tostones were yummy too! We ended the meal with 3 spoons and a serving of gelato. Highly recommended!
Trying too hard, not authentic traditional Peruvian food, expensive. Overpriced. Extremely disappointing. Parts of the meal were inedible.Ceviche was not marinated long enough and had a creamy texture and taste which was off-putting. Not enough acid so the fish couldn't marinate properly either. Parts of the fish were hard and inedible, almost tendonous both my husband and I had to spit out pieces. Imagine spitting out inedible food at a white cloth restaurant! Anticuchos were tough, chewy, and dry. Chaufa de mariscos also had an off-putting creamy texture to it which does not make sense for a fried rice whatsoever. Seafood in the chaufa was underdone and unseasoned. I could not even eat this dish, my husband ate just the rice and avoided the seafood bc it was so bad. Aji de Gallina is supposed to be shredded chicken in a spicy creamy cheese sauce. What we were served was a pile of big chicken pieces covered in cheese. No spice, no flavor other than cheese.THE ONLY good part of this meal was the fried yucca and sauce, and of course the standard cancha which is served to the table. The most difficult part of this meal was getting the check and paying SO MUCH for this extremely disappointing meal. Being Peruvian and traveling extensively throughout the US and Europe, this was the most expensive meal at a Peruvian restaurant, not to mention the worst.
This restaurant is amazing. Me and my husband had ceviche with gulf fish, ceviche with octopus, octopus with potatoes and sangria. It was amazing. The octopus with potatoes was the best I have ever had in my life. (And I looove octopus and had many good ones) sangria was served with lychee which gave it great taste! Highly recommended!
Amazing food, we ordered shrimp and beef and both very absolutely tasty. Great drinks and ambiance as well. Kudos to Tito’s Ceviche Pisco?
