I ALWAYS have a WONDERFUL experience whenever I dine at Mr. Bs Bistro. The food and drinks are absolutely divine. But, most of all, the service is EXCELLENT. Jeremy was our server tonight and exceeded all of our expectations . He is a star, and management should DEFINITELY take notice of his service and recognize him as an asset to this restaurant

Very bad experience. Fast and rude service, low quality food. To avoid.

We had an exceptional experience. I ordered the formula menu with a salad, redfish on the half shell and bread pudding. Fish was exceptional. My son ordered the trout and it was excellent as well. Our waiter, I think JC, was attentive but did not rush our meal. On our next visit to NOLA we will definitely eat at this establishment again.

I’ve had the great pleasure dining here often when visiting Backstory I have a recently deceased SO who has deep roots in NOLA as well as his warm wonderful family. They cook and are particular about their classic favorites. So recently why I and family are here. He traveled here because he wanted to be here at the end. Moving on. Wednesday I brought family here for their first visit. I’ll comment as I make my solo review from my Thursday solo visit (they departed) Atmosphere Relaxed Elegance Booths and tables with comfortable chairs, table linens, china and flatware. Lighting is muted yet the restaurant is equally comfortable for a table of men shooting the breeze about hunting (solo diners eavesdrop for entertainment) , couples enjoying a romantic evening, and friends enjoying a night out Laughter occasionally punctuates the atmosphere it’s far from somber but not at all rowdy no screaming. Service Food Perfect Hospitality I had the privilege of being in the capable hands of Grayson The gentleman saw a single ahem older woman He read my every cue because he’s an adept professional I wanted to pace myself I eat slowly t I drink lots of water I don’t camp if there’s a wait for tables or the restaurant is clearly closing. I started with the flash fried oysters Delicious plump, moist, accentuated by light sauce and garnishes The California Chardonnay was perfect The warm bread and butter defied temptation to indulge Next up was the Seafood Gumbo Family and our loved one have declared it the best in the French Quarter This is no small feat in the crowd I’m describing When you see it? It doesn’t immediately dazzle So why? Roux. Dark and skillfully executed Flavor complex and perfectly balanced spicy without overwhelming. Intriguing yet not wandering out of bounds of what IS gumbo Seafood rice subtle shrimp aren’t huge yet the flavor is there they’re not tiny nor hard cooked Rice doesn’t take over go ahead butter the bread and sop the deliciousness Next? Indulgence continues Whilst there’s an entree crab cake? I ordered the appetizer version which comes with a smidgen of side salad It’s almost pure quality, melt in your mouth crab. Yet? It’s accented with a caper herb vinaigrette that’s wonderfully subtle Perfect All the while, Grayson is making the meal an experience For the finale? Chocolate cake with caramel drizzle and salt dusting Grayson suggested a perfect glass of red wine Did I groan with pleasure and happiness?
