Bidra med feedbackFood was delicious. Myself andy wife enjoyed having my birthday dinner there. We didn't have to wait for a table as I had previously made reservations. Waiter was nice and informative about the dinner and drink menu's. Nice atmosphere the entire dining experience.
I hope y’all like oysters! One of my friends (a NOLA native) took me here. She was ranting and raving about the quality of food and them having some of the best oysters around.Their claim to fame goes beyond just serving regular or raw oysters, their oysters are charbroiled! This was new for me, but when I say I’ve never had oysters this good?! Wow. ???I ordered half a dozen to start as an appetizer and then a dozen to go — they’re THAT good.I also had a drink and the shrimp creole pasta. I wasn’t crazy about either item, but overall the food is good. This location is near the convention center which was very convenient since I was in town for Essence Fest *So, next time you’re in NOLA, be sure to stop by here. But, go early and get your name on the list (they don’t do reservations). We had a 2hr wait which made for less than enjoyable experience, initially. The hostess said it’d be 1.5hrs, so there were a lot of frustrated visitors.
The carburized oysters were very good and the pama mama cocktail was also good! chandria our server was very delightful and welcoming. our food was not the biggest. the taste, the presentation and the quality of eating were not attractive at all! it was best to learn. it was our first time to visit nola and drago’s, as well as our first time trying to carbureted oysters all in all that we have achieved our goal (experiment to try.) we only wish that our high-time dinner had been a bit more filling and appetit. my man ordered the surfing and turf with the rose ring kartoffeln and brokkoli and I order the lobster mac and cheese. my man said that his steak was not the freshest meat cut and not so good tasted. the rosemary potatoes were deerated and boiled/dolved and the brokkoli was room temperature. the lobster mac and the cheese were good, there was only the lobster bites missing. but the oysters, cocktails and our waitress were very nice.
If your dining in New Orleans, this is a wonderful stop for amazing quality food. We had many different dishes and all were prepared beautifully. Baked oysters are the best I've ever had. I had the gumbo and the ribeye steak as well. Lots of food split between my wife and I but let me tell you it was all delicious. They make some nice cocktails here as well. The atmosphere is great as well.
This restaurant is overhyped. If you plan on going, be sure to make a reservation or be prepared to wait.
