The quaint little business has delicious coffee. The owner is very friendly and very hospitable. I am happy we stopped in and will continue to support this small, locally owned coffee shop. Next time we will plan to be there when it's time to eat too!
Because it was such lovely weather we walked through the park and found ourselves at Bird's nest cafe. First off, kudos to the staff. The lady who took our order was very helpful. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and she advised us that it might be a little too plain! She was right and I am grateful that she took the minute to warn us to temper our expectations! We also ordered the recommended lunch sandwich of the day, a tomato, pesto, mozzarella sandwich! Oh Yummm~! Both came with a bag of chips. You could choose which chip you wanted. Awesome! And they had Oatmilk latte, and whole milk for my partner. So we ordered one of each! On the whole, great location, great food, great service and a great cafe, despite us being the only ones there! These are truly hard times, y'all~!
I tend to look for more local places when in need of coffee, as we all should. I heard through the grapevine to try Birds Nest Cafe, so I decided to check this place out. When arriving, after smiling at the local art in the surroundings and a few art abstracts, I was nicely greeted and already felt my anxiety shiver away. The lady working, Miss Lindsey, steered me in the right direction for my beverage and food choices. My Chai latte was phenomenal, the coconut milk added such an amazing flavor (oddly). I ordered a delicious panini! So cheesy and delightful. Lots of flavors. I'm glad to know this place exists! I will be studying a lot this semester and have found a place where I am most comfortable. Cheers!
Very good stop. Historic building. Great fraps. Nice atmosphere. Have stopped several times when biking.
