Bidra med feedbackIt's a tiny place with friendly staff, counter service (take out) only. I picked up the Jerk Pork and a beef patty for the ferry ride to Orient. Perfectly spiced chunks of boneless pork with some rice and beans and cabbage. A small portion worked for me, but you could probably share a large one. Definitely worth a visit if you have a few minutes before catching the ferry. Instead of turning left to go into the ferry parking, make a right and go up the hill. It's about 3 blocks up at the top of the hill on the left. BTW, they only take cash, but there's an ATM in the store next door.
Tasty authentic caribbean a local hole in wall. Don't expect much from the decor.. it's all about the food! Delicious! Nothing else will matter once you take your first bite. Owner is very friendly and welcoming.
Best Jamaican food I've ever had. I work in Old Saybrook but the guys from work and I make the trip to New London at least once a week to get Rohan's famous jerk chicken and oxtail. Well worth the drive
My wife and i got married in jamaica. we have been 3 years in a row. the first, i told her i loved her. the second, i popped the question. we love it so much, we decided to get married there. two of the MANY wounderful things about jamaica, exist in this restaurant. the GREAT food, and the very friendly people. we had the jerk pork and lots of beef patties. the jerk was nice and spicey. the patties, awesome. it takes me back to that small, wounderful island. my only dissapointment was not knowing that this place existed before now. i will deffinately be making this a once a week, maybe even more if i'm in the area, dinner plan. the only downside, is that you can't eat IN the diner. it's take-out and delivery. when i left, i was close to asking how much they charge to just come in there and just stand and take in the wounderful smells of their fine Jamaican food.
I get the jerk chicken every Thursday night. It's the best. And Ro, the owner, always has something to say that makes me leave with a smile on my face.
