Monterey Chicken - New Haven

Very tasty, this was my first time, and will return to try some of the other items on the menu. The staff was friendly.

I ordered food at Monterey chicken it was the worst fried chicken I ever had, I ordered the fried chicken special it was supposed to have macaroni and cheese the Cheese was so light it taste like there was no cheese on the macaron and it was bland.. The meal is supposed to have collard greens they substitute with broccoli. They sent a two pieces of chicken in a box with the rest of the meals the hot sauce it spilled all over the box and I’m really not into hot sauce. I will never order from this place again and I will not recommend anyone else to order here either, you could tell the chicken was refrozen because it was black next to the bone and I don’t think they can get a smaller wing from a chicken. This was a waste of money because I couldnot eat this garbage, I threw it away.The only reason I gave it one star is the only way I could post this or else I would of gave it no stars.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time and it's really one of the best meals I have ever had! I ordered roasted chicken with mac n cheese and collared green. Every part of the meal was so good! I am not a fan of mac n cheese at all because it's usually flavorless but their mac n cheese was so good and flavorful! The portions were also pretty big! I also got a key lime pie and it was so delicious! They also gave me free cookies too : definitely won't be my last time ordering here!

I love pickles so I had to try the pickle fries when I heard about them. I like the flavor of the fried chicken tenders (tastes homemade) and I look forward to trying the fried catfish next!
