Dante's Pizza - New Canaan

Amazing pizza! San Marciano tomatoes make the sauce really special. Definitely the best pizza in the area.

Excellent excellent! Only sell pies no slices. I order a sausage and pepperoni pie and decided I'd have a slice or two and drop the rest at home...let's just say the pie disappeared and it was gooood! Afraid to go back because I'd eat another entire pie! Go with friends so you won't he the whole pie! Oh boy now it's in my head now I'm heading over this weekend!

I just had the most mind-blowing experience with their pizzas. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that transported me to pizza paradise! Simply divine.

Good pizza, thin and almost crispy crust corn. Basic NY style cheese was great and the cakes were bigger than expected. Outdoor food hall type environment was really pleasant, especially in the current covid-19 world.

I have frequented Dante’s innumerable times since it opened— I can confidently say that the VAST majority of the time, it is delicious, and a great experience. Reviewers suggesting pizza is “black” on the bottom and/or complaining of rude staff definitely did NOT have the usual/standard experience. I can’t say why their experience was so different, but usually reviews with those kinds of extremes are a combination of perhaps an off-day for the business, and/or an off-day for the customer. We’re human, it happens. In my experience, Dante’s serves great pizza, and they are great people— and the many positive reviews further attest to that.
