Stray Dog Grill - New Buffalo

Bar experience started off ok however it went downhill. The bartender was not to attentive, ate food from garnish Bin for bloodymaries, did not wash hands, handled money, placed dirty glasses on bar and the glasses touched the taps. Took tips off the bar and kept some of the money did not place the hole tip in the tip jar.

My experience at the bar started off well, but unfortunately it took a turn for the worse. The bartender seemed disinterested and was eating shrimp while serving drinks, which was quite off-putting. I noticed that they didn't wash their hands after handling money, and there were dirty glasses placed on the bar that made contact with the bar fixtures. To top it off, I felt like my tips were being shortchanged, as some of my contributions weren't placed in the tip jar properly. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

I ordered the special of the day, which was a Grilled Shredded Short Rib Sandwich topped with Gouda cheese, along with a Nachos appetizer. The waitress warned us that the nacho platter was quite large, and she was right! The food was absolutely delicious, served quickly and piping hot. The atmosphere was pleasant for a Saturday afternoon—crowded but not overly busy, and we didn't have to wait long for our meal. It's definitely a place worth visiting!

Delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and excellent service...definitely worth the drive no matter where you're coming from.

During our visit, we were on the lookout for a great place to eat and stumbled upon the Stray Dog. We had a wonderful experience! The food was excellent, the service from Jessica was top-notch, and we had a fantastic time.
