Bidra med feedbackBack to its best! Eling Forest Cafe used to be a wonderful cafe up until about 4 years ago when it went downhill so badly that my wife and I gave up on stopping there on our road trips between Canberra and Sydney. However, we decided to chance it again this week and, wow, what a pleasant surprise! New owners and it is back to its best! Wonderful coffee, wonderful food, and wonderful, friendly service! So good that I wish it was closer to Canberra so that we could visit more frequently.
Lovely area, cost cafe and plenty of parking. We've been meaning to stop by as we frequent the Hume to get to Melbourne and we're glad we finally did. If you're sick of the petrol station food then drop by here. The cafe is super cosy, the people are friendly and the food is delicious. We got bangers and mash to share and not only was it really yummy with the peppery sausages but we felt it was a good amount of food for two. Topped off by a nice coffee and we were good to continue on driving. I highly recommend and stop here!
Wanted a cosy place for lunch today in the Highlands and this was perfect. Lovely and warm, friendly staff and the food was SO good. Chicken and mushroom pie with salad, perfect comfort food on a chilly day! Great spot. Thoroughly recommend it. Very dog friendly too.
Great place for coffee and cakes. Cake variety is limited to some of the home made flavours. Orange and almond was the best. Need some improvement on the waiting area for take away foods. Other than that, place is vibrant and looks good for a peaceful stay.
Escaped from driving to Canberra! Great break, breakfast, coffee. It 's also a 'special ' place as our daughter and 'future ' son-in-law stayed there for their wedding! Perfect match of rustic atmosphere, calm and quiet!
